Pierce The Veil’s entrance – a two minute long cartoon video displayed on a large white curtain depicting the band’s spaceship crash landing in the Queen City – brought tears of joy to a youthful audience. Yet, the post-hardcore veterans did it, and gave Charlotte a show to remember. It’s a task that seems fairly difficult considering the highs Pierce The Veil hit over the summer, including a “once in a lifetime tour” that presented the Southern Californian’s groundbreaking album Misadventures in its entirety. We want kids to walk away and say, ‘Wow, did you see that?’ We always try to think outside the box when it comes to playing shows. We’re gonna do it! It’s about being creative and making a show that’s memorable. Prior to hitting the road for the band’s Made To Destroy tour, bassist Jaime Preciado promised his loyal fans the quartet would pull out all the stops to create an even more memorable show than tours past. There’s a first for everything and seemingly, each time Pierce The Veil steps on stage they unveil a never before seen – or in this case, heard – performance for their enthusiastic fanbase.
